Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 June 2026
This policy explains how Hyrly Local (“Hyrly”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses your personal data when you visit our website and join our launch waitlist. We will expand it before our app launches and begins processing more data.
Who we are
Hyrly Local is a service operated by a company registered in England and Wales. We are the “data controller” for the information described here. You can reach us about privacy at hello@hyrly.co.uk.
What we collect
When you join our waitlist, we collect:
- the email address or mobile number you enter; and
- limited technical information your browser sends (such as your device/browser type), used only to keep the service secure.
We do not use tracking or advertising cookies on this site.
Why we use it (lawful basis)
We use your contact details solely to tell you when Hyrly launches in your area and to send related updates. Our lawful basis is your consent, given when you submit the waitlist form. You can withdraw it at any time (see “Your rights”).
Who we share it with
We never sell your data. We use a small number of trusted providers (“processors”) who handle data on our behalf under data-protection agreements:
- Supabase — secure database hosting (UK/EU region);
- Vercel — website hosting and delivery.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist details until we launch in your area and for a reasonable period afterwards, or until you ask us to delete them — whichever is sooner.
Your rights
Under UK data-protection law you can access, correct, delete or restrict use of your data, object to processing, request portability, and withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email hello@hyrly.co.uk and we’ll respond within one month.
Children
Our waitlist is intended for general audiences. Hyrly’s app will be available to people aged 16 and over, with extra safeguards for 16–17 year-olds. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16 through this website.
International transfers
Your waitlist data is stored in the UK/EU. Where any data is processed outside the UK, we rely on the appropriate safeguards required by law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Hyrly grows. Any changes will appear on this page with a new “last updated” date.
Complaints
If you have a concern we can’t resolve, you can contact the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
